Advancing Navigated High Speed Drilling in Braunschweig / Germany

We are pleased to highlight a recent clinical case at Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig in Germany, enabled through close cooperation between Brainlab and adeor medical.

Under the leadership of Prof. Klaus Zweckberger, MD, the Velocity Alpha® High Speed Drill System was used in combination with the Brainlab™ Curve Navigation System and the Brainlab™ Spine Navigation Software to support accuracy and safety in a complex spine surgery.

As Prof. Zweckberger summarizes:
“The integration of the Velocity Alpha® with the Brainlab™ navigation platform enabled precise, real-time–tracked high speed drilling with minimal radiation exposure. This navigated workflow significantly improved accuracy, efficiency, and safety, contributing to an excellent postoperative outcome.”*

This case demonstrates how a navigated high speed drilling workflow can enhance accuracy and support safe surgical execution in demanding spinal procedures.

Thank you to Prof. Zweckberger, the surgical team in Braunschweig, and our partners at Brainlab for their excellent collaboration.
