We are pleased to announce a significant software upgrade for the Velocity Alpha high speed drill system, continuing adeor’s commitment to innovation, quality and user-driven development.
Effective May 2025, all newly supplied Velocity Alpha control units will come pre-installed with the upgraded software. This new release introduces enhanced motor stop settings, with the fastest setting reducing motor stopping time by an impressive 70% compared to the previous version. This improvement is a direct result of valuable feedback from our global network of surgeons and reflects our ongoing focus on optimizing surgical workflows and patient safety.
The upgrade is also fully compatible with all existing Velocity Alpha control units (VAC110 and VAC220) and can be installed quickly and easily, using either of the two USB ports at the back of the control unit. We encourage all distributors to reach out to their customers and highlight the benefits of this upgrade.
The new software has no impact on existing CE and FDA approvals.
